Looking North from the top of Boom Chair

The top of the mountain continued to be good, with heavy but decent and carvable soft snow. Below the top of the cat track in Cedar or near the bottom of Sunnyside, the frozen crud from yesterday was brutal this morning. In some places enough dumb folk skied this stuff that it became much better later in the day, although still somewhat icy between the moguls. Even Kangaroo was skiable, although far from recommended. (I have friends who make dumb suggestions - and I'm stupid enough to follow them<g>). It snowed reasonably hard in the afternoon and this combined with blow in helped considerably. Still little travelled ungroomed stuff lower down was not good news. The cruisers were generally good, but some like North Ridge and Lower Bear had a significant number of icy patches.

It is currently snowing lightly at minus 3C.
